Clavis Energy was founded in 2019 and is a Brazilian company which focuses its activities in two important sectors of the energy market: consultancy (service provision) and advising those who carry out business in this market. 

Clavis is the Latin Word for key.

 

The mission of Clavis Energy was formulated from this word, that is, to be the “key” to the success and growth of its clients’ business. The founder and CEO of Clavis Energy is an entrepreneur with more than thirty years experience in this field, whose work in diverse areas holding strategic positions enabled him to consolidate his extensive knowledge and ample vision of the structure and functioning of the Brazilian energy sector.

SERVICES

Clavis Energy supports its clients in institutional, regulatory and commercial questions, working together with the principal institutions of the sector, including MME – The Ministry of Mines and Energy, ANEEL – The National Agency of Electric Energy, EPE -  The Energy Research Company, ONS – The National Electric Energy Operator, The Electric Energy Distributors and CCEE – The  Chamber of Electric Energy Commercialization. This support includes questions relating to the authorization of new businesses, the contracting of connection and use of transmission and/or distribution systems, regulatory aspects, and anything else related to the contraction and operation in the buying and selling of electric energy together with counterparties and/or CCEE.

The Company also works as mediator in the buying and selling of electric energy on the part of either the buyer or vendor, searching for and identifying prospective counterparties, developing commercial strategies, contractual drafts and price proposals. It also works in a similar fashion in the buying and selling of projects and/or energy generation assets.

Following market tendencies, Clavis Energy has also been investing time and energy in questions relating to the insertion, regulation and commercialization of distributed generation, offshore wind farms and green hydrogen.
